Your sets are now in the Hall of Fame. For the Next Victim of the Week we have... Ogerpon-Cornerstone!

:sv/Ogerpon-Cornerstone:
Ogerpon-Cornerstone (F) @ Cornerstone Mask
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Tera Type: Rock
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Ivy Cudgel
- Power Whip

- Low Kick

The other Ogerpon form in OU, Ogerpon-Cornerstone differentiates itself from its Water counterpart with its access to Sturdy and a 100 Base Power Rock-type move in Ivy Cudgel, which allows it to threaten Dragonite and Zapdos immediately. Low Kick rounds its coverage and threatens to OHKO Kingambit. What Pokemon are able to stand its hits?

Gholdengo @ Leftovers
Ability: Good as Gold
Tera Type: Flying
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Make It Rain
- Shadow Ball
- Recover
- Nasty Plot

(Note: everything but MIR, Recover and EVs can be changed while not losing any effectiveness at all. Recover isn't needed to counter once, but without recover Gholdengo can get worn down. Plot, Shadow Ball, Leftovers and Tera Type are completely irrelevant to this 1v1)

Bulky Gholdengo stonewalls this set, Ogerpon does less than 25% after leftovers with all it's moves, MIR is an OHKO, Gholdengo has recover to stay healthy and repeatedly counter Ogerpon.

0 SpA Gholdengo Make It Rain vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Ogerpon-Cornerstone: 338-402 (112.2 - 133.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO

252 Atk Cornerstone Mask Tera Rock Ogerpon-Cornerstone-Tera Ivy Cudgel vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Gholdengo: 92-109 (24.3 - 28.8%) -- possible 5HKO after Leftovers recovery

If you SOMEHOW let it get to +6, you still have a chance to win.

+6 252 Atk Cornerstone Mask Tera Rock Ogerpon-Cornerstone-Tera Ivy Cudgel vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Gholdengo: 368-433 (97.3 - 114.5%) -- 81.3% chance to OHKO

EVs: 252 HP / 88 Def / 168 Spe
Tera Type: Steel
Jolly Nature
- Iron Defense
- Body Press
- Crunch
- Substitute / Heavy Slam

Zamazenta is a check. It relies on the boost from Dauntless Shield to not immediately get mulched on the switchin by a +2 Power Whip, but its higher speed, bulk, and resistance to Ivy Cudgel allow it to tank at least one of Ogerpon's attacks from full and begin setting up itself. Boosting with Iron Defense prevents Ogerpon's next attack from KOing unless it's boosted higher than +2. This also allows Body Press to OHKO, even taking into account the Defense boost from Embody Aspect.

Ting-Lu could have phazed it out so it lost its Booster Energy. Iron Valiant doesn't care. It still outspeeds Ogerpon-C and it always OHKOes (or activates Sturdy), and it can even tank a single unboosted hit from this Ogerpon-C:

252 Atk Iron Valiant Close Combat vs. +1 0 HP / 0 Def Tera Rock Ogerpon-Cornerstone-Tera: 306-360 (101.6 - 119.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO

this set threatens to outspeed and ohko ogerpon-c with close combat or even U-TURN. it resists low kick and power whip, and 2hko or even 3hko ivy cudgel

defensive calcs:
252 Atk Cornerstone Mask Ogerpon-Cornerstone Ivy Cudgel vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Sneasler: 140-165 (46.5 - 54.8%) -- 65.2% chance to 2HKO

My first submission, my boi chessy

Chesnaught is a counter through and through and takes extremely minimal damge from all of its attacks. You can also simply spam spikes too to get free chip as it gets forced out so next time it is ohko'd through sturdy.

Chesnaught @ Leftovers
Ability: Bulletproof
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Body Press
- Iron Defense

- Spikes

+2 252 Atk Cornerstone Mask Ogerpon-Cornerstone Ivy Cudgel vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Chesnaught: 116-137 (30.5 - 36%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
+2 252 Atk Cornerstone Mask Ogerpon-Cornerstone Power Whip vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Chesnaught: 139-164 (36.5 - 43.1%) -- 97.7% chance to 2HKO
+2 252 Atk Cornerstone Mask Ogerpon-Cornerstone Low Kick (80 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Chesnaught: 124-147 (32.6 - 38.6%) -- 14.1% chance to 2HKO

252+ Def Chesnaught Body Press vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Ogerpon-Cornerstone: 320-378 (106.3 - 125.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO

As you can see, ches fully walls it with ID and synth along with ohkoing on the crackback with +0 body press.

CHECK DD Pult

Well, this is less of a check and more of a "oh, you killed my mon now I get to click DD and win the game rn bozo", or "I have kingambit/priority so I can just switch in, click darts, and force a trade" type of mon. Still quite effective in the meta, and does exceptional damage to just about anything in the meta, along with packing sub for kingambit.

Dragapult @ Leftovers
Ability: Infiltrator
Tera Type: Dragon
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Dragon Darts
- Phantom Force
- Substitute

252 Atk Cornerstone Mask Ogerpon-Cornerstone Ivy Cudgel vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Dragapult: 235-277 (74.1 - 87.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
252 Atk Cornerstone Mask Ogerpon-Cornerstone Power Whip vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Dragapult: 141-166 (44.4 - 52.3%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

252+ Atk Dragapult Dragon Darts (2 hits) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Ogerpon-Cornerstone: 198-234 (65.7 - 77.7%) -- approx. 2HKO
252+ Atk Dragapult Phantom Force vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Ogerpon-Cornerstone: 177-208 (58.8 - 69.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

As you can see, none of pon's moves ohko pult, and it has no way to boost its speed so it can freely put pon into range of any priority, or switch in on a low kick, dd, and sweep.

Nothing special, literally just click bullet punch and delete rockpon. Scizor can also guaranteed to live any +0 hits and can live both +2 powerwhip and low kick. If you want to be even crazier, you can tera steel and also run light metal because it still does a lot of damage although it's not recommended. Having something that can set up rocks or spikes is recommended to help break sturdy and provide chip, but it's not mandatory. Also just something interesting that I discovered while doing calcs, magic room can negate ogerpon's mask boost.

You can't switch in because Ivy Cudgel is a guaranteed OHKO if Ogerpon teras, but Hawlucha is the only mon I've found that can outspeed and OHKO through Sturdy (unless you count Fake Out Sneasler).

252 Atk Choice Band Mold Breaker Hawlucha Close Combat vs. +1 0 HP / 0 Def Tera Rock Ogerpon-Cornerstone-Tera: 356-422 (118.2 - 140.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Ability: Guard Dog
Tera Type: Poison
EVs: 248 HP / 168 Def / 92 Spe
Impish Nature
- Drain Punch
- Knock Off
- Bulk Up
- Taunt

Assuming you come in on anything other than +2 Tera Rock Ivy Cudgel, Bulk Up Okidogi can usually just go straight for the 2HKO with Drain Punch and Rockpon doesn't have a way to take it out, if you both come in at the same time you can even set up. +2 Tera Rock Ivy Cudgel can 2HKO, even if the chance is very slim so this still only lands as a check, but you win if you come in for free since Drain Punch's heal will put you out of 2HKO range. 92 Spe is to outspeed all Kingambit, then you just bulk to the max. If you go full defensive this is a counter but not outspeeding Kingambit with something like this is a big no-no for me.

+2 252 Atk Cornerstone Mask Tera Rock Ogerpon-Cornerstone-Tera Ivy Cudgel vs. 248 HP / 168+ Def Okidogi: 173-204 (45.6 - 53.8%) -- 2.3% chance to 2HKO after Black Sludge recovery

Adamant Nature
Tera Type: Rock
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

Breloom survives any attack from it,
252 Atk Cornerstone Mask Ogerpon-Cornerstone Power Whip vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Breloom: 134-158 (51.3 - 60.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 Atk Cornerstone Mask Tera Rock Ogerpon-Cornerstone-Tera Ivy Cudgel vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Breloom: 149-176 (57 - 67.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 Atk Cornerstone Mask Tera Rock Ogerpon-Cornerstone-Tera Low Kick (60 BP) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Breloom: 90-106 (34.4 - 40.6%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
And in return OHKOs back with Loaded Dice Bullet Seed + Mach Punch
252+ Atk Technician Breloom Bullet Seed (4 hits) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Ogerpon-Cornerstone: 312-372 (103.6 - 123.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252+ Atk Technician Breloom Mach Punch vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Ogerpon-Cornerstone: 252-296 (83.7 - 98.3%) -- 75% chance to OHKO after 1 layer of Spikes
252+ Atk Technician Breloom Mach Punch vs. +1 0 HP / 0 Def Tera Rock Ogerpon-Cornerstone-Tera: 168-198 (55.8 - 65.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Very unfortunately you cannot switch in though:
+2 252 Atk Cornerstone Mask Tera Rock Ogerpon-Cornerstone-Tera Power Whip vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Breloom: 267-315 (102.2 - 120.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO

With this EV spread, you outspeed uninvested base 100s (manaphy) and below (gliscor) and invested kingambit. Adamant nature was chosen for better calcs against bulkier stuff (notably OHKOs Gliscor, Pex, and +1 Zama at +2) and not really having anything you want to outspeed with Jolly save for Adamant Dragonite, which you can only beat if you Tera. Tera is to power up rock tomb while also resisting pesky flying and fire moves that come your way, mainly from Zapdos and Iron Moth. Neither is really relevant for this interaction though.
